Construction 88

First off, sorry guys for not having posted in a while… I have been a bit bored of RuneScape.. Yes, it’s that time of year again. Anyways, the ingame time I have had was mostly spent playing stealing creation with Fast Sc for tools to use on construction. I have played with the thought of getting 99 in it, but decided against it because of the amount of tools needed. Sooo, I stopped at enough tools to get at least 90 – but I will go back eventually to get 92, 96 or perhaps even 99… I did buy all the logs for 99, and should have all the cash needed – but that insane amount of tools and the massive time spent in stealing creation really got me turned off..

From level 87 till 99 I would need to use around 76k oak planks if using morphic clay hammers. A total of 179 hammers would be needed, worth 3,580 points. Insanity… Perhaps, it sounds like a lot – is it? With Fast Sc I was getting around 4-5 sometimes just under enough points for 6 tools an hour. That’s between 35 and 45 hours of stealing creation.. Yes, it really, really is a lot!

Construction 89

On request of my friend Mag, I’ve been doing some maths and timing to find out the exact speed of this, most likely, cheapest way of training construction…  ‘Only’ around 35m for 85-99 construction, I mean, I used to hear tales about 99 beeing over a 120 mill, so this was quite a shock – it’s only 25% of the money! Sooo, that much cheaper must be a lot slower then, right? Well actually, it isn’t at all. Without hammers and use of the butler to make planks, you get around 300k xp an hour making oak doors. That’s fast allright, a lot faster then most other skills. But, what about the speed when using clay hammers and the butler?

I timed how long it takes for the butler to accept your planks and turn them into planks. Using the right click quick-select on the butler, uncerting 20 oak logs, then when he comes back, sending them to the sawmill to make planks. It takes around 25 seconds total! That’s all! In that time you can use the planks of a previous load easily, so it takes 25 seconds to use 20 planks. With a morphic tool they give 120 xp each, so that’s 2,400 xp in 25 seconds. There’s 3600 seconds in an hour, which gives us a final 144 batches of 2,400 xp each in an hour – that’s 346k xp! Now, that time might be a little off, and of course you won’t keep up that speed of clicking up for a full hour (unless you’re zarfot, but in that case you would be making mahogany tables ) but still, 300k an hour should easily be doable! 25% the cost, and the same speed! Zomg!

Just one downside – you do have to spend 50+ hours for 99 construction in stealing creation.. In that time it’s possible to get 99 construction without hammers, so actually the whole 75% cost reduction takes about twice as long.. It’s up to you, but imo it’s quite worth it!

Now on to the second part of the title. I went to the dagannoth kings with my clan – 2 trips total. Both with the same 4-man team. The first we were all tribriding, the second half of the team was mage/range and the other half melee/range. I won’t bore you with longer text, so, just watch the screenies. (note though, I haven’t been to dk’s a lot other then in mass, so I was quite scared the first trip )
